BriAnna Thweatt is a recent graduate of James Madison University and was part of the Class of 2025. While attending the university, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Design & Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication.

Over her four years, BriAnna was able to acquire numerous skills that fed into her desire to go into the journalism field such as interviewing, editing, multimedia production, research, and a variety of other necessary capabilities.

Alongside her academics, BriAnna was an active participant around her campus and within her community. She served roles in JMU’s Residence Life as a Resident Adviser, a body member of the University Program Board, as well as a staff news writer for the university’s newspaper The Breeze. However, notably, BriAnna was most proud to serve as her university’s Editor-in-Chief for their college yearbook, The Bluestone. During her senior year, they published the 116th edition of The Bluestone.

Since being able to explore numerous avenues of writing and what that career entails, BriAnna has been enthusiastic about writing, marketing, content creation, and many other things. That said, she is open to all job opportunities within public relations, entertainment journalism, publishing, and more.

BriAnna welcomes you to explore her portfolio and the different pieces of work that she has come to do in and outside of JMU. If you have any questions or would like to chat more, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
